MEDICAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST III

MedFocus offers clinical research contract outsourcing and staffing specifically to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. We specialize in the nationwide recruitment of clinical trials personnel.

Our client is a company that wants to discover, develop and successfully market innovative products to prevent and cure diseases, to ease suffering and to enhance the quality of life and is seeking to add a Medical Information Specialist III to their team in East Hanover, New Jersey.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Product specialist.
•    Responds to product inquiries from external and internal customers.
•    A member of the product specific Promotional Review Committee, and Medical Product Team.
•    Creates and maintains product Standard Response Documents and Dossiers.
•    Captures potential adverse events, provides disease state and product training to internal groups.
•    Takes initiative and works independently requiring minimal supervision.
•    Is a resource to other colleagues demonstrating superior performance in medical information role.
•    Uses professional clinical knowledge to address pharmaceutical and medical questions for assigned products in both verbal and written responses with minimal supervision.
•    Investigates and addresses questions for assigned products
•    Develops and maintains response database for assigned products
•    Responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, professional responses to inquiries for assigned products
•    Be key contact for internal colleagues to answer brand-specific questions and craft/review answers given to customers
•    Reviews promotional material and as member of PRC
•    Collaborates closely with critical Clinical Phase 4 colleagues, Field Medical and brand team members
•    Addresses routine questions/requests form outside department with minimal supervision, seeks guidance for more complex/non-routine issues.
•    Support internal training by providing specialist support
•    Review responses with Director, CS&E, Clinical Research and Medical Marketing personnel as appropriate
•    Update responses in Merlin where needed and ensure that all responses are reviewed every 6 months.
•    Identify best practice examples
•    Responsible for the creation and maintenance of product dossiers

Job Requirements

•    Previous Medical Info experience in Pharma industry
•    Education: MD/PharmD/PhD
