Medical Office Admin in Mayfield Heights, OH!

 

 

Position:         

Office Administrator 1

Job Description:

may include the “front office" functions of the Office Administrator I and/or some or all of the functions listed below.

·        Ensure the privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA requirements

·        Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

·        Greeting patients and visitors upon arrival.

·        Phone work (answering incoming calls, calling patients).

·        Entering patient demographics into the computer database.

·        Notifying the medical assistant, phlebotomist or ultrasound technician when patient is ready to be roomed.

·        Collecting co-pays, deductibles and other fees at check out.

·        Organize and maintain filing system.

  

Minimum Requirements:

·        Strong interpersonal, oral (including telephone) and written communication skills.

·        Ability to key 30 words per minute with accuracy preferred.

·        Ability to work with handicapped individuals.

·        Proficient computer skills including Windows based office technologies (ex. Word, Excel), e-mail and automated billing systems.

·        Ability to use all necessary office equipment, facsimile machines, calculator, postage machine, copiers, etc.

·        Knowledge of state, federal and regional collection and reimbursement laws where applicable.

·        Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

·        Proficiency with basic math and accounting skills.

Training:

Training is on the job with the AOM, or practice manager in the office.

 

Typical Day:

Monday â€"Friday 8:30a-5p

Two weeks of training provided.  

Dress code is business casual.
Must be willing to travel to Willoughby, Parma, and Westlake office locations

Compensation: 

$10/hr based on experience.  Full benefit package 30 days after hired.   Merit raises yearly.
