Portfolio Executive â€" Medical Contract Services
Location: Novation, Corporate Headquarters - Irving, TX
Job Summary
This opportunity will report to the Senior Director or Director in Medical Contract Services. The incumbent will manage specific product contracts as assigned; however, this portfolio focuses on Wound Management supplies and equipment. Will conduct periodic business reviews and strategic planning meetings with key suppliers and will routinely monitor supplier compliance to contract terms and conditions.
Responsibilities
· This position is responsible for developing and managing contracts within an assigned business unit. This includes
o identifying member needs;
o conducting product and market assessments and market research;
o complying with all requirements of the competitive bid process;
o negotiating and managing contract terms and conditions;
o obtaining representative member input from councils and/or task forces;
o delivering unique value to support individual members, supply networks, academic medical centers as well as customers and clients in non-health care markets;
o developing business and marketing plans;
o implementing new programmatic offerings while maintaining practical knowledge of the healthcare industry, market dynamics and new technology.
o effectively communicating with all stakeholders;
o managing relationships with members, suppliers, and alliances to ensure satisfaction through timely communication and problem resolution;
o achieving and growing the targeted revenue base for the contracts assigned;
o demonstrating financial aptitude in the preparation of expense and revenue budgets;
Job Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred, either in business or a health care related field.
· Clinical and/or business experience in the health care strongly preferred
· Five to seven years of progressive experience in marketing, sales or business development in the health care products industry or progressive managerial experience in a health care organization.
· Demonstrated expertise in the competitive bidding, launch and management of high profile agreements with documented revenue results.
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software products (Word, Power Point, Excel and Access).
· Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
· 20% travel required.
· Flexible, action-oriented team player.
