We currently have the following position available: Support the Merchandise Planning & Allocation division in preparing monthly and weekly analysis and reporting to drive the business. Assist merchant organization in planning and maintaining profitable businesses. Completion of special projects and ad hoc analysis as directed to provide timely information and support for tactical and strategic decisions. Work closely with management to conceptualize, complete and present analysis that drive the decision making process.
Open to Buy - Assist in Analysis and Monitoring
- Prepare and distribute merchandise OTB reports
- Exception reporting for OTB issues and liquidity
- Prepare and maintain Purchase Order Approval logs
- Support preparation of Forecast Projections and Variance Reporting
Markdowns - Reporting and Forecasting (examples below) - Utilize BI and Oracle to run Issued and Taken MD's
- Maintain Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Analysis
- Prepare variance analysis
- Monitor Vendor Allowances
Merchandise Plans - In Season Planning and Revisions - In Season Analysis and Reporting to support tactical and strategic plan revisions
- Support preparation of Forecast Projections and Variance Reporting
Merchandise Plans - Development of Pre-Season Plans - Assist in the preparation and distribution of analysis and reports required for development of pre-season sales and profitability planning
Ad Hoc & Special Projects
This is a staff position with Enterprise, Merchandise Division and Store scope. Analysis and reporting will be utilized to impact decision making processes that drive sales, margin and turn goals.
Job Requirements
- BA or BS College Degree
- Reporting and analysis background, preferably in a retail environment.
- Strong mathematical, analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
- Must be highly organized. Strong sense of urgency in executing responsibilities and flexible when business needs dictate changes to priorities.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization including Sr. Executives.
- Excel and Word required; Power Point and experience with a data system, i.e. Oracle, MicroStrategy (BI), is highly desirable.
