We are currently seeking a Manager Product Development.This position will be based out of Harland Clarke's San Antonio, TX office
Position Summary The Marketing Manager will oversee facets of the Marketing & Communications for NEW BRAND including social media messaging on a daily basis, assisting in website design, maintenance and updates, and product/promotion campaign development in line with the Brand voice. Employee supervisorial experience preferred. This position will work closely with the New Brand’s external agency(ies) in strategizing and creating various campaigns and messaging as required.
Key Duties / Responsibilities

Assist Department Director is evaluating and assessing market research findings and implementing strategy in the application of research results in the marketing plans moving forward; Act as primary contact with contracted service providers/consultants (such as the Market’s public relations agency) in relation to projects and campaigns. Serve as primary staff contact for Brand events and promotions, ensuring that events and promotions run smoothly. Prioritize customer and stakeholder needs during events and help solve or mitigate problems that may arise; Manage all of Pike NEW BRAND’s external marketing channels and communications. Help develop and implement brand identity guidelines, processes, and tools. Make sure that all New Brand stakeholders and merchants are informed and aware of brand identity tenants and guidelines. Responsible for implementing and executing brand strategy initially and day to day post launch. Other duties as assigned.
Education & Knowledge Required
Working knowledge and experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube is essential. Knowledge of a variety of software programs such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint and InDesign is also essential. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills, the ability to deal effectively with diverse groups of people, and exercise good judgment and diplomacy. The Marketing Manager will devise brand strategy and manage the execution against it to maximize revenue and profitability, build brand equity and ensure effective presentation, promotion, product development and support. Establish reciprocal relationships cross-functionally to facilitate the understanding, support and follow through of the brand strategy.
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required The ideal candidate must also possess the following: Bachelors Degree 5-10 years overall Marketing experience Experience in managing a consumer brand; online brand experience ideal but not required Familiarity with merchandising and product development processes Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint Previous Management Experience a Plus as this position supervises 2-3 Marketing Assistants Craft and implement annual marketing plans with ultimate goal of building brand equity, maximizing revenue and profitability, increasing likelihood of product success and supporting the brand strategy. Build and track annual marketing budget; lead monthly budget review meetings Direct all creative execution (imagery, packaging, POS, advertising, etc) for brands in partnership with ad agency Develop and execute unique brand promotions; track ROI Act as the key point person for execution of brand presentation including all co-op advertising and collateral support. Work cross-functionally with internal partners (i.e., merchandising, design, sales) to communicate brand and product strategies and to gain tactical support of marketing programs Ability to gather, analyze and present data on consumer behaviors, sales performance and retail trends is key. Must have capacity for innovative thinking and ability to translate findings into actionable direction for the branding, product development, distribution strategy, etc. Identify consumer need gaps and product opportunities based on category knowledge Recommend and execute consumer research as necessary
Supervisory Responsibility Will Supervise 2-3 marketing assitants. Communication & Contacts Required This individual has contact with various employees within the organization up to C level. Decision Making Position requires above average problem solving skills and independent judgment
