Under the general supervision of the Nurse Manager, in conjunction with the Administrative Director, the Procedure Registered Nurse is a registered professional nurse who assumes the overall responsibility for management of the Procedure patient population which he/she is assigned, in addition to providing OR conscious sedation. The RN assumes responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing, directing, supervising, evaluating direct and indirect nursing care, and identifying outcomes for patients in the Procedure setting. The specific patient populations to whom direct care is provided include adults with gastrointestinal disorders/diseases, cataracts and pain management
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 1-2 years experience in Endo suite, Pain Management, or Operating Room setting; required
- 1-2 years experience in Ambulatory Surgery Center; preferred
- State of Wisconsin RN licensure
- CPR ACLS; required or certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
- Possess good communication skills and the ability to maintain interactive/interpersonal relationships
- Possess a good working knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and legal aspects of nursing, and techniques, care and use of equipment used in an Endoscopy setting
- Available and able to work on short notice (willingness to change hours as staffing needs require)
- Adaptable to varied and quickly changing duties without requiring detailed or repeated instructions
- Must have ability to establish priorities in fulfillment of duties

- Ability to work as a member of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks
Schedule
This is a 30 hour week position with three 10 hour shifts. Hours are Monday - Friday 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m. Days off each week will vary.
