Position Description:
This position is responsible for the enhancement and delivery of new Consulting Group products and services. The role varies by assignment and ranges from the development of business requirements to managing a large cross functional team. The emphasis is on driving technology solutions in the Consulting Group platform
Specific responsibilities include:
o Works closely with Financial Advisors, Sales Directors, Product Managers and Operations Management to gather business requirements
o Development of business requirement documents for review and sign-off with stakeholders and technology
o Works with technology on the functional solution to the business problem. This may include redesign of business work flows and tools used by key stakeholders in the normal course of business
o Development and execution of testing plans and scripts
o Management of the technology initiatives and teams including business, operations, legal, compliance and application developers.
This position leads, coordinates, and drives efforts among various groups (both internally and externally) to analyze, develop and implement new systems and/or services - ultimately providing the "high end" tool that improves the way the Financial Consultant is able to conduct business. There is a high reliance on organizational and communication skills. This position interacts with all levels of management - from the line supervision to executive team.
Skills Required:
College Degree
- 10 â€" 15 years experience in driving large scale technology initiatives in the financial services industry
- Strong knowledge of the brokerage system and advisory business
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the systems development life cycle.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
