Network Administrator
Opportunities and Challenges
The network administrator will be responsible with installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer and telephony systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problem with effective resolutions and in a timely manner. The network administrator will work closely with the other Network Administrators, Help Desk Group, IT Development Group, VP Network, IT Manager, Main Office Support Groups, 3rd Party Vendors and end-user to provide support for the Bank and Securities entities, which includes a Trading Floor.
Essential Job Functions

Make recommendations concerning specification, purchasing, training and deployment of network, telecommunications and business hardware, software services.

Participate in the development of IT policies and procedures manual, Disaster recovery manual as well as all other necessary department required documentation.

Requires lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals up to approximately 50 lbs, general mobility around an office and clinical environment required, also requires varied amounts of time standing, walking, bending, reaching climbing and extensive sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components for extended.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree or equivalent is required, preferred certification MCSE.

Minimum 5 years experience hand on Network administration experience

Knowledge of telephony systems including Cisco IPT (Call manager, Unified messaging and Cisco Contract Center) and Orange eTrali a Plus.

Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Juniper VPN appliances Firewalls and IDS/IPS

Ability to work in teams

English/Spanish language skills

Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, applications and services (Server, Workstation, SQL, ISA, Active Directory, DNS, WINS, etc), Cisco IOS along with networking technology and practices

Sample systems, services and applications to be supported: MS Windows 2000 and 2003 Server, MS Windows XP and Vista Workstation, MS Actice Directory (DNS, Group Policy, Logon Scritps,etc), MS Exchange 2003, MS SCCM 2007, MCAfee Antivirus Solutions (VirusSacn, GroupShield, ePolicy Orch,etc.), Trend Micro ISS and IWSS, MS SCOM 2007, Telephone systems: Cisco Unified Call Manager, Etrali
