Job Description
Lead the design and implementation of group level initiatives and support activities for the Technical Services and Operations team. Provide level 2 system support and where possible level 3 support for areas of expertise, working closely with all Technical Services and Operations areas, as well as Applications Development and clients as required. Core Accountabilities: Define and document detailed requirements in support of application development and technical services projects. Create system design specifications that support the requirements for simple to complex project assignments requiring voice and data connectivity. Provide on-call support for systems and areas of responsibility for 24X7 coverage. Interact with business partners to provide innovative solutions. Demonstrate the use of established methodologies by adhering to system development life cycle. Solve complex voice, data and network technical issues. Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of hardware/software installations, configurations and capabilities of Cisco routers and switches. Demonstrated ability in design, development, testing and implementation to support project development. Demonstrated knowledge of both SNA and IP networks, level 1 and 2 with some level 3. Act as project or technical lead on IT infrastructure projects as required. Conduct or participate in evaluation of technical hardware and/or software studies, providing recommendations to management. Provide technical support and assistance to IT Associates in reaching problem resolution. Develop technical solutions for the architectural designs based on strategies and initiatives. Provide innovative and cost effective solutions to all business and technical problems. Provide level 2 system support and where possible level 3 support for areas of expertise. Education/Experience Required: 2-or 4 year College Degree or related experience required. 3-5 years IT experience with some of the following: o Systems Analysis and Design abilities o Demonstrated Problem Solving Skills o Results-Oriented Track Record o Practical SDLC and Project Management Understanding o High level support experience
