Responsibilities of Account Manager/Nurse Liaison - Home Health Includes:
As a Account Manager/Nurse Liaison at Amedisys you will:
- Participate in care team conferences to ensure patient/client satisfaction and continuity of services delivered
- Assist with the implementation and development of programs, and produce required reports, summaries and recommendations
- Use clinical skills and knowledge in valuable patient and client interaction
- Use superior customer service and sales knowledge to attract and maintain business relationships in the health care industry
- Establish, coordinate, and maintain all community relations functions
- Coordinate the referral process from the identification of the appropriate payer source to the analysis of patient information
- Use clinical and business skills to build a strategy for identifying and growing new business

Account Manager/Nurse Liaison - Home Health
Requirements for Account Manager/Nurse Liaison - Home Health:
- Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered or Practical/Vocational nurse specific to that state the employee is assigned to work by the Company, and qualified to receive physician orders for patient home care skilled nurse care according to scope of practice regulations strongly preferred.
- Degree in business and/or management preferred.
- Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) documents the following:
- The mutual recognition model of nurse licensure allows a nurse to have one license (in his or her state of residency) and to practice in other states (both physical and electronic), subject to each state’s practice law and regulation.
- Nurses must legally reside in a NLC state to be eligible to have a multi-state license.

- Two years experience in the health care industry
- Competent organizational skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations/deadlines
- Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team
- Demonstrate the ability to support the philosophy, objectives and goals of the home health agency.
- Forecasts needs; sets priorities
- Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files, and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars
- Ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.
