Occupational Therapist
Occupational Therapist - Pediatric
If you are a Licensed Occupational Therapist with some Pediatric and/or Autism experience, please read on!
What you need for this position:
• Licensed OT, 3+ years of relevant experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making and assessment skills
• Ability to work independently & collaboratively with professional team
• Ability to identify & meet own learning needs for ongoing prof development
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Computer literacy & internet access for writing and emailing
• Knowledge of community organizations and resources
• Familiarity with insurance claims and legal issues
• Experience working w/diverse, multicultural groups, & pediatric population
• Fluency in languages other than English a plus
What you will be doing:
• Complete extensive clinical interview & comprehensive initial assessment
• Generate a comprehensive report
• Provide a blend of treatment options to optimize client progress in rehabilitation
• Provide education to the patient and family
• Integrate theoretical concepts & research findings into practice
• Maintain an evidence-based, best practice approach
• Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines
• Communicate regularly with referral sources
• Provide timely written reports, according to established standards
• Provide discharge planning & future care planning in your area of practice.
