Job Description
.
1. Takes orders from customers and arranges for pickup and delivery of freight and customer service shipments.
2. Assembles cargo in the computer according to destination. Prepares manifest to accompany shipments. Determines cost for items by dims, itemizes charges and prepares freight bills.
3. Takes initiative and assists with development of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the customer service department.
4. Interaction with outside freight vendors and coordination of scheduling requirements.
5. Assist in loading and unloading freight using a forklift
6. Build relationships, solve issues, and assist customers with their individual needs.
Job Requirements
This position requires an individual experienced in the movement of freight and customer service. A fundamentally solid performer who is consistently able to facilitate multiple projects and remain productive under pressure.
• 3 years related experience
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Strong analysis and decision making skills.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. experience is a plus.
• Results oriented. “Can Do" attitude.
