Job Description
Due to the immediate construction of a new facility, we require a Technical Support Specialist with experience in supporting Corporate IT infrastructure systems and services. The Technical Support Specialist is the primary point of contact for technology related questions and problems for entire company and staff and reporting directly to the IT Manager.
WHAT DOES THIS JOB ENTAIL?
- Provide first level support on Workstations & Server hardware, network and software
- Ensure timely research, escalation and resolution of end user technical problems and requirements
- Maintain existing documentation and ensure that all support information is recorded and tracked in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure corporate data security including backup and recovery and perform periodic testing and verification for in-place Disaster Recovery Plans
- Participate in IT projects to provide technical input required to deliver end user requirements
- Ensure availability of services as well as managing upgrades, patches, virus protection, network access, email accounts and Active Directory account management.
- Assist in the implementation of new infrastructure projects by providing technical expertise and support to IT team members.
- Provide technical coaching and training to end users
- Maintain good working relationships with third-party vendors and manage vendor access to on-site equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned.
