Job Description

• Responsible for developing and maintaining all elements associated with benchmarking activities within the Commercial Aerostructures Division.
• Establishes benchmarking progress milestones and monitors adherence to plan.
• Participates in benchmarking development with customer as required.
• Develops parametric estimates as required, and supports the Material cost reduction efforts within the Commercial Aerostructures Division for all non-747-8 programs.

Job Requirements

• The responsibilities of this position include developing and maintaining a benchmarking database to be utilized in evaluating supplier price proposals.
• This position requires excellent communication skills involving continuous interface with various customer, program, site, department, and process technical focals.
• Tasks will include acquiring, populating, developing and maintaining benchmarking data for both domestic and international environments.
• Candidate will be required to develop and present database progress briefings to upper management.
• This position includes parametric estimating as required, including presentation development and review with functional department, business and program management.
• Applicant should possess a solid working knowledge of labor, material and overhead development.
• Additional responsibilities include supporting the Material cost reduction activity within the Commercial Aerostructures Division for all non 747-8 programs, analyzing supplier price proposals and developing briefings of findings to Material, Business and Program Management representatives.
• Applicant will be required to support factfinding and negotiations as required.
• This position will report to the Manager of CAD Benchmarking and Parametric Estimating

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate will typically have a bachelor’s degree and ten years of related experience.
• Must have strong parametric and discrete estimating skills.
• Must have experience analyzing supplier price proposals and supporting factfinding and negotiation activities.
• Must have excellent communication skills.
