Job Description
Works under the supervision of the Food Services Manager, and is responsible, in cooperation with other kitchen staff, for meal and snack preparation, and maintaining the kitchen.
Prepare meals and snacks according to assigned menus.
Keep the kitchen clean and orderly, so that: 1) food and supplies and utensils are available when needed; 2) sanitary standards are maintained; 3) licensing requirements are met, various government entity, including USDA and health department, inspections are passed; and 4) the working environment for staff is safe.
Participate in menu planning.
Check in and assist in storage and inventory of food and other supplies related to the kitchen, in a timely and orderly manner, so that supplies are available when needed.
Complete other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
High School diploma required. One or more years experience in quality cooking in an institution such as a school or hospital. Experience in record keeping, ability to follow written and verbal instructions work as a team member, and personal cleanliness required.
