Job Description
Parts Management (80%) â€" Maintain inventory, purchase, and issue parts to service technicians involved in air compressor maintenance. Process returned parts back into inventory or for return to supplier. As relevant, manage counter sales of aftermarket spare parts, assisting walk-in customers.
Maintain a stock of spare parts, ordering parts as needed, striving not to overstock, but taking advantage of bulk or quantity purchasing on fast moving inventory.
Conduct regular physical counts and spot checks of inventory to check the accuracy of inventory records.
Maintain records of parts used on specific service orders.
Maintain a clean and safe work area by keeping the parts area neat and orderly, doing required housekeeping and updating/reorganization as needed.
Adhere to appropriate methods for caring and storing spare parts.
Supervision (20%) â€" Coordinate the activities of and provide direct supervision for parts assistants, administrators, and/or specialists (as assigned).
Job Requirements
Experience – 3-5 years of spare parts control, preferably in a service/repair environment.
Education – High School diploma, some college preferred.
Skills – Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be highly customer service oriented, trustworthy, and dependable.
