EZCORP is in search of a performance-driven, self-motivated Payroll Tax and G/L Specialist to start ASAP. This position reports to the Payroll Manager.

• Responsible for the timely processing of all payroll tax deposits and posting to the general ledger.
• Uses limited independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within defined policies and procedures.
• Is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work.
• Work is reviewed for by the Payroll Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.     Payroll Tax deposits

2.     Payroll General Ledger Posting

3.     Payroll Tax Reporting and Response to IRS Notices

Critical tasks:

1.     Prepares and depositions payroll taxes and reports taxes according to applicable filing requirements. 

2.     Posts payroll to general ledger weekly and in conjunction with the monthly close schedule.

3.     Reconciles, completes and submits tax forms according to applicable schedule.

4.     Researches relevant information on IRS Notices and prepares response. Presents response to management for review and resolution.

5.     Responds to employee pay related questions within same day.

6.     Responds to requests for wage statement information within on week.

7.     Completes other duties as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
