A well-established Outpatient facility south of Boston is adding a Physical Therapist / PT to their versatile and seasoned team. The organization specializes in the rehabiliative care of orthopedic, surgical and sports-related injuries. The PT will be responsible for partnering with medical professionals to treat total joint replacement and ortho rehab, post surgical rehab, shoulder, rotator cuff, tennis elbow, wrist, foot/ankle, hips, knees, and other extremity joint related diagnoses, as well as general strengthening and acute/chronic back pain. They address these conditions through traditional physical therapy, manual therapy techniques, medical exercise programs, functional training, sports specific training and performance enhancement programs. The organization has done a phenomenal job of establishing preferred provider partnerships in the Boston community, and enjoys a strong and stable referral network consisting of orthopedic and sports surgeons.
The staff includes physical therapists, certified athletic trainers, orthopedic specialists, certified strength and conditioning therapists, assistants and aides with experience ranging from 2 years to 30 years. The Physical Therapist / PT will work in teams consisting of PTAs and ATCs to educate patients in a supervised setting allowing them to return to their exercise programs, sports teams or work environment. The spacious clinic offers a wide variety of equipment, technology, private treatment areas, and therapeutic environments to choose that are specific to the patient's needs. Clinicians enjoy the ability to exercise their interests and specializations to restore function and progress patients to a self-management protocol. It is an dynamic setting where therapists are encouraged and inspired to think outside-of-the-box. For these reasons, among others, this organization sees MINIMAL employee turnover and has not needed to use contractors or travel therapists.
The schedule is Monday through Friday (no weekends!), with two evenings required per week. Facility will consider permanent part time employees. Job Requirements
*Valid PT MA licensure, or ability to apply.
* Experience in Outpatient Ortho and Sports settings preferred, but will consider new graduates who have completed relevant clinical affiliations in OP Ortho.
*Must possess an outgoing personality, as well as enthusiasm, compassion, dedication, and a customer service attitude.
*Ability to work well autonomously and in a team-oriented atmosphere.
