Job Description
Job Summary:Position is responsible for the provision of direct patient care, including evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, and reassessment. It may also include these indirect patient care activities: documentation, physician contact, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Essential Duties: - Performs assessment/data collection and formulates treatment plan.
- Implements treatment and conducts treatment program.
- Completes documentation of PT treatment, patient related services and charges.
- Formulates effective working relationship with all health care team members, patients, and their family/significant others.
- Responds effectively to legal, patient rights, safety, structural clinic maintenance, and emergency situations.
- Participates in continuing education, staff development and self-directed learning.
- Participates in supervision of PT staff, new staff, students, and volunteers as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education: - High school education or GED equivalent.
- Graduation f rom an accredited Physical Therapy Program and completion of Clinical Fieldwork preferred.
- Documented orthopedic continuing education within the past three years preferred.
Experience:- Knowledge and experience in rehabilitation, orthopedic, medical/surgical settings.
- One year of full-time outpatient orthopedic experience preferred within the last three years.
License/Certification:- Current Washington State license for Physical Therapy.
- State PT Association and American PT Association membership preferred.
- Current BLS Certification.
