This position will be based at Miami County Medical Center located in Paola, Kansas.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The PHYSICAL THERAPIST evaluates for, plans and implements specific treatment programs for individual patients ranging in age from newborn to geriatric according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy. The Physical Therapist collaborates with the members of the interdisciplinary care team; prepares written documentation pertaining to patient evaluation and treatment sessions; schedules patient treatments and meetings; supervises the work of Certified Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA’s), Rehabilitation Aides, and Student Physical Therapists and Student Physical Therapist Assistants; assists in preparing and conducting in-service training and continuing education programs; may participate in Performance Improvement activities and processes; and is expected to support the mission, vision, and values of Olathe Medical Center, Inc.
REQUIREMENTS:
Supervices:
Rehabilitation Aides if/when they are required to assist in patient care.
May direct the Rehab. Registration Clerks in the scheduling of outpatients.
May direct the Insurance Specialist to assist with the resolution of an insurance issue or problem.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited school of physical therapy.
LICENSURE:
Kansas licensure as a Physical Therapist or temporary licensure.
CERTIFICATION:
Current Healthcare Provider CPR upon hire.
