Job Description
Physical Therapist - Hospital Location
A local hospital is looking for a full-time or part-time Physical Therapist to join their rehab team. The part-time position would be within their homecare division and the full-time position would be a split between homecare and inpatient acute with the flexibility to rotate to their inpatient rehab unit.
The rehab team is a great group of experienced and newer Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists who collaborate with their patient care. The caseloads are very reasonable and a large percentage is typically orthopedic. Since the facility is a smaller, community hospital you will have the opportunity to really know your co-workers and participate on various hospital committees.
The homecare opening is due to growth from their extensive referral basis. The area that the therapist would cover can be flexible within either northern Montgomery County or upper Bucks County, depending truly on where the therapist lives. The caseloads tend to typically be orthopedic with a small mix of other diagnoses. The right candidate will be an independent Physical Therapist with a good work ethic. Homecare truly provides therapists the opportunity to have a purely flexible schedule making your patient appointments for times that are convenient for you and your family. Each therapist is able to make changes to his or her schedule without having to receive management approval. Since you are in the homes with your patients, each patient is seen one-on-one in a functional setting and you will never feel the push for productivity or feel micro managed.
The hospital system offers very competitive salaries, a great benefits package, and promotional opportunities. This position offers a very dynamic environment working with a multidisciplinary team. As a homecare therapist, you would also receive a laptop and mileage reimbursement at the IRS maximum. They also offer their staff free memberships to a local gym and child care.
If you are interested in working for a very reputable health system at a hospital that offers a very comfortable, friendly working environment, please consider applying.
