Job Description
River Park Hospital is in the process of developing a PRN pool of RN's, LPN's, and Mental Health Technicians to work on an as needed bases. Most likely will work an average of three shifts per week and at least one major holiday per year.
All three positions are responsible for providing safe, effective patient care.
RNs - Responsible for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluation of patient care with corresponding documentation. Coordinates all components of psychiatric care to include patient safety, medication administration, and all other areas of psychiatric nursing. Supervises all staff and provides leadership and direction to the unit/staff.
LPNs - Responsible for implementing and evaluating of patient care with corresponding documentation. Assists with the coordination of all components of psychiatric care to include patient safety, medication administration, and all other areas of psychiatric nursing.
MHTs - Works under the direction of the Unit Charge Nurse. Has a significant role in direct patient care and is a principle element in providing a safe and therapeutic environment.
Job Requirements
RNs - Valid West Virginia RN license. Psychiatric Certification preferred. Prefer experience as an RN for one year with six months in a mental health setting.
LPNs - Valid West Virginia LPN license. Prefer experience as an LPN for two years and six months working in a mental health, nursing home, or hospital setting.
MHTs - High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer one year experience working in a mental health, nursing home, or hospital setting.
