Addition to Staff
World class manufacturer of medical device components has an immediate need for a Process Development Engineer. This fast-paced company has a large market share in their industry and are growing with the addition of new engineers to their staff. The successful candidate will be a degreed engineer with three or more years of hands-on experience in dealing with a diverse customer base to provide engineering support to implement new processes for new and existing products.
Requirements Include:
Support the New Process Development group by developing and implementing systems for the manufacturing of new products.
Develop and implement systems to increase the efficiency and reduce costs associated with existing manufacturing processes while maintaining or increasing finished part quality.
Identify and develop concepts for cost reduction through continuous improvements. Measure and document all improvements.
Design new equipment (fixtures, gages, semi-automatic machines, automatic machines, etc.) and processes for new and existing products.
New equipment and processes may include, but are not limited to; PLC’s, machine vision (cameras and associated hardware), pneumatics, electric motors, robotics, sensors, safety equipment, etc.).
Ensure that all new equipment/tooling is designed per current customer specifications.
Hands-on engineer; install, develop, debug, and troubleshoot equipment and processes on the manufacturing floor.
Write Work Instructions, PM Plans, Engineering Studies, etc. and Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) protocols.
Use quality tools to measure, evaluate, and optimize processes (GR&R, SPC, Capability analysis, DOE, etc.).
