This position is responsible to problem solve manufacturing issues, optimize production equipment, and assist in the process development of new products. This will include the scale up and refinement of new products to support their commercialization. It requires optimization of Process Engineering Guidelines to ensure reliability and reproducibility of processes prior to turnover to Manufacturing. This position serves as technical liaison between R&D and Manufacturing and is responsible for evaluating, proposing and integrating technological advances into the Manufacturing process to improve quality and/or productivity for manufacturing operations.

Job Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (there is no relocation provision for this position)
- Demonstrates commitment to Schneller Values and supports the Business Management System
- Interface with R&D during new product research, trials, introduction, and technical problems
- Complete necessary collection and analysis of data to meet project objectives.
- Write project reports to summarize test results and update project status.
- Research and complete feasibility of new technology and process advancements to improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies, improve yields or improve equipment utilization.
- Complete or direct any necessary product performance testing.
- Support New Business Development and R&D product/process related development
- Provide assistance as requested in equipment design, modification, installation, and follow-up
- Maintain and understand ERP systems, Schneller currently utilizes Syteline
- Maintain Engineering Module including the Parts Master, BOO, BOM, and ECN changes
- Perform any other special assigned projects/duties as directed by the Director of Process & Quality Systems.
QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) with emphasis and experience in material / polymer science, converting processes, related process equipment and techniques.

Processing Engineering experience in a plastics manufacturing environment (highly desired).

8-12 years work experience in a related field with a minimum 5 years in product development and process engineering (required).

Lean manufacturing knowledge (highly desired).

Ability to travel domestically and internationally is required, 5-10%.
