Process Shiftbreaker

Position Grade: Hourly
Position Location: Kenai Refinery

Position Summary: This is an entry level Operator position working a 12-hour on/off shift, rotating days to nights. This position provides interface between the Hydrocracker control room (Area 2) and the Crude Unit control room (Area 1) depending on which operating Area has an open position to fill. Position is responsible for managing and monitoring the outside equipment and control functions involved in the Refinery processes. Operator gathers data from these functions and analyzes and interprets it into appropriate action as operational adjustments or recommendations. Operator provides assistance with unit startups, shutdowns and emergency response. Operator must have an in-depth knowledge of the physical portion of the plant. This is considered an outside position, subjecting the person to various weather conditions.

Minimum Requirements: Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.

Qualifications would be equivalent to:
Possession of a two year petroleum degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or vocational tech school with major course work in a closely related field; or three (3) years' of experience performing increasingly responsible duties associated with a equivalent field of work. Must have a valid Alaska Drivers' License, be able to pass a background check, and/or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
