Job Description
Kaplan is currently seeking several Procurement Analysts to join our expanding procurement team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals looking for a progressive career in a growth focused organization.
The Procurement Analyst will support the Procurement Department activities in the areas of strategic sourcing, project management, eProcurement, data management and presentations. The Analyst will specialize in specific business areas including facilities, human resources/labor management, travel management, print, marketing collateral, event management and eProcurement.
The Analyst will be responsible to coordinate activities between internal customers and suppliers; manage day-to-day administrative operations in assigned business areas and negotiate price under the supervision of a Director. The Analyst will track historical and on-going spend, category performance and cost savings and support eProcurement in the areas of administration, eCatalog management, supplier and user adoption and training.
Responsibilities:
Act as a central point of contact/liaison for internal/external project & program administration; interact with Kaplan user groups & suppliers in coordinating daily activities and troubleshooting for first level questions. Conduct assessment of Kaplan supplier usage, internal customer requirements, market research from both internal/external sources in order to identify products, services and suppliers for business needs. Provide support in development, distribution, analysis and presentation of RFI's & RFP's. Assist in the investigation of Kaplan's demand for goods and services; conduct basic sourcing and procurement activities for assigned projects including preparation of SOW's. Conduct on-going spend analysis and purchase category performance reporting. Support eProcurement efforts, assist in new supplier onboarding process; coordinate efforts with A/P staff to ensure Oracle compliance and provide daily supplier management & buyer training. Responsible for program and system administration, validating existing pricing, developing strong preferred network, monitor industry changes for better pricing, manage process and policy changes and process improvement planning. Coordinate and manage procurement SharePoint site and department communications. Prepare presentations utilizing internal and external data and information. Assist in the development of vertical project planning and calendars to prioritize and manage against business goals. Assist in reviewing and managing supplier performance (develop KPI's and metric performance reporting process). Set and achieve cost and service improvement goals year over year. Demonstrate a desire to take on increasing responsibilities and dedicated career path in sourcing or project management.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, science, marketing, supply chain/logistics or related area of study. 2 to 4 plus years of experience and/or training in strategic sourcing/procurement, eProcurement, supply chain/logistics, project managment or related experiences. Experience with program management in either travel, print, IT, promotional materials, human resources, advertising, shipping/logistics, marketing, event management or facilities. MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel & Powerpoint skill levelpreferred, MS Visio and Project. Ability to perform data mining and manipulation. Must possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, sound business judgement and excellent written/verbal skills. Ability to prepare reports, multi-task, build relationships (internal/external) and interact with other departments. Must be a team player, creative, resourceful, have ease with non-structured work, and manage work in a diverse/dynamic environment. CPM certification preferred.
