They are looking to take on a purchasing manager who will have responsibility for the procurement of all raw materials, and will also take a lead in working on new packaging development. The ideal candidate will have a much larger bias towards the purchasing aspect of this job, but with previous experience of working alongside a packaging function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Working alongside the other functions within the supply chain, providing cover and support.
- Working with the Engineering department to ensure that all materials are procured and supplied within budget and on schedule.
- Negotiating with vendors and suppliers to achieve the best terms possible for the business.
- To report back with details on the performance and adherence of the vendors to specified quality, cost and delivery standards.
- Working alongside the packaging department to deliver packaging solutions.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess experience within procurement from a manufacturing environment, and also previous experience of dealing with a packaging function.
