Job Description
We are searching for a high energy individual with ethanol production experience to lead our processing team as the Production Supervisor. The purpose of this position is to operate all the processes within the plant and the computer control system for the plant and supervision of production operations; oversee and inspect equipment such as grain handling, milling, slurry, liquefaction (enzymatic process), fermentation (yeast process), distillation, centrifuge, utility water systems, lines, pumps, and others to detect malfunction and/or leakage. Actively manage fermentation process for optimum performance, identify and troubleshoot issues along with design scope and processes to minimize bacterial infection; supervise, train and develop production operators to read flow meters, temperatures, pressure gauges and record data; conduct tests and record data and make field adjustments for vessel and heat exchange temperature, and transferring fermenters.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or chemical engineering preferred or a minimum of 3 years experience in ethanol or bio-energy production and fermentation process.
Proficient computer skills and ability to apply knowledge and troubleshoot maintenance issues will be key.
Physical ability to reach, stand, stoop, walk, climb, crouch, grasp, carry and lift up to 60 pounds with visual acuity to review and analyze data. Wearing of respirator required when assigned to duties with designated chemicals.
