Production Supervisor â€" 2nd Shift

We currently have an exciting opportunity based in our Garland, Texas manufacturing facility for a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor with the leadership skills and confidence to assist in our manufacturing and product development processes in support of our sales expansion strategies.

FOCUS:

This position will supervise the expansion of an existing production line to 2nd shift operations.  This unique individual will be expected to very hands-on in assisting the development of a strong, focused and dedicated team.  This individual will be expected to implement manufacturing process adjustments in supervising production efforts subject to production, quality and efficiency goals, while demonstrating a strong commitment to safe work practices, team ethic, and positive employee relation practices in a fast-moving environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

In support of building a strong team, this individual will be responsible for new hire training and cross-training activities, meeting manufacturing schedules, ensuring safety policies & procedures are met and consistently followed, and the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees.  Excellent communication skills dealing with a highly diverse population and at all levels is required.  

Job Requirements

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•           2- or 4- year degree; experience may be considered in lieu of education.

•           5+ years of manufacturing experience in a leadership/supervisory role.

•           Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

•           Strong organizational skills

•           Strong problem solving skills

•           Computer skills

•           Bilingual preferred, but not required

•           Ability to train on 1st shift and/or split shift before assuming 2nd shift responsibilities, if required

•           Ability to work overtime and Saturdays, as required
