Schneider Electric Energy Solutions is offering an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals with an advanced understanding of performance contracting, project development processes, building systems engineering and optimization and energy conservation to assume the role of Western Regional Project Development Manager in either Seattle (WA) or Los Angeles (CA). Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Sales and Engineering, this key role will be responsible for the development and management of a diverse portfolio of projects in multiple geographic locations and the management and professional development of a team of engineers.
The Regional Project Development Manager will be in a position to manage, plan, organize and participate in performing preliminary and detailed project development audits. The selected individual will also be responsible for reviewing and ensuring savings projections are plausible, financial risk is identified, project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable within the budget. Additionally, this person will contribute to strategic planning for the region and establishing goals, objectives and tactics in alignment with the regional strategies.
This individual will lead the development of the technical relationship with the customer and work with them in assessing their needs and identifying theirs requirements for a project. They will be expected to collaborate with the sales team in strategizing the sales process and will assist with sales presentations. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to listen and solicit input from others while influencing and persuading internal and external customers to listen effectively.
This individual will manage, train, develop and counsel direct and indirect reports. He or she will be responsible for managing the utilization of direct and indirect reports in multiple geographic locations. The Regional Project Development Manager will develop and present training materials to the region and assist in maintaining the region's software tools. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, with strong business acumen and possess the ability to empower others through delegating responsibilities.
