MEDNAX is a national group practice encompassing the broad physician services of Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. and American Anesthesiology, Inc. Pediatrix Medical Group, American Anesthesiology and their affiliated professional corporations provide physician services, including neonatology, maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, pediatric intensive care, pediatric and OBGYN hospitalist services and anesthesiology.
We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Clinical Project Manager who can facilitate and coordinate all aspects of Clinical Data Systems rollouts. This position is based in our Corporate Office, in Sunrise, FL.
JOB SUMMARY
- Manages the analysis, design, testing and implementation of systems interfaces between information systems.
- Coordinates and keeps track of the necessary enhancements / bug fixes needed in the current version of the Clinical Data System, including requests from individual sites. And then coordinates with the IS department to implement the changes.
- Manages the analysis, design, testing and implementation of Clinical Data System in collaboration with the IS and Coding departments.
- Collaborates with the IS department and Billing department to correct data issues at individual sites to facilitate the importation of data for billing purposes.
- Actively participate in analysis, design, testing, and implementation to conform to Pediatrix development standards.
- Perform thorough performance analysis of new and existing software, to assure maximum benefit from existing hardware resources.
- Utilize knowledge and experience to constantly improve new and existing Clinical Data Systems.
- Collaborates with all departments to resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio is required.
- Coordinates the schedules, appointments, and activities for the team to ensure appropriate resources and timeliness.
- Oversees the specifications of system requirements to keep current and standardized amongst facilities.
- Provides prompt, courteous, professional and accurate information in all communications in dealing with physicians and other departments.
- Demonstrates a commitment to department objectives through consistent patterns of work behavior and positive representation.
- Responds to the department needs by accepting additional assignments which may or may not be related to the job's primary responsibilities, to ensure the continuity of department services.
- Responsible for following all facility, organization and department precautions and procedures in the performance of all job duties to ensure a safe work environment for self and others.
- Maintains up to date compliance training as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three years experience with EMR Interfaces, NextGen, EPIC Implementation or project management of a clinical system with physicians is required.
- RN, NNP with previous experience in a liaison/coordinator role between Medical Directors, Office Based Practices, and the Clinical Data System team is highly desirable.
- Must have strong communication skills, problem solving techniques and the ability to adapt to the specific needs of a given group of physicians is required.
- Travel required based on need.
- Project Management Certification (PMP) is highly desirable.
