This position will be responsible for managing the commercial side of Market Data, including the Business Advisory (including demand and vendor management) and Inventory Control (including provisioning, invoice reconciliation and compliance) functions for Market Data.

Architect:

Responsibilities:

The Senior Architect is responsible for setting technology direction, strategy, policies and guidelines for global Market Services.  Responsible for developing Market Data solutions that align with strategic business requirements of functionality, performance, availability and efficiency.

• Research new and emerging technologies. Work with vendors to understand technology evaluating new tools, technologies and platforms to be included.

• Providing reusable services

• Setting technical strategy

• Defining technical components of blueprints & roadmaps

• Designing & developing the technical product portfolio

• Architecture & standards

• Technology evaluation

• R&D, pilot technology

• Conceptual design

• Product integration, testing & certification

• Tier 3/4 Support

• Aligning with internal policy boards. Key interactions include application developers and management, networking and service delivery

Job Requirements

• Educated to degree level with at least 5-7 years experience in trading floor technology. Exposure to the mission-critical real-time software in the financial sector.

• Excellent communication skills including technical writing and presentation skills. Good team working and collaboration skills. An analytical approach to problem solving is a benefit.

• Experienced with product evaluation, product development and solution design and testing.

• Experienced with RMDS (RV, SSL, MF, RTIC), TIB, UNIX (system administration), Networking (UDP, TCP/IP and Multi-Cast) and supporting data feeds. Experienced with application integration on RMDS and TIB

• Experience of the WOMBAT MAMA environment a significant plus.

• OS XP,NT, Solaris & Linux admin experience Networking Experience with firewall delivered services Delivery A proven track record of delivering high quality support to a trading floor or equivalent environment.

• Excellent oral and written communications

• Understanding of Market Data Systems Reuters Infrastructure TIB, RMDS and 3000 Xtra desktop. Open Bloomberg. Data

•Good time management skills and organization skills
