Our client, the Private Investment Management area of a Global Investment Bank located in midtown NYC, needs a Project Manager/Business Analyst with Product Control and PL project experience

Key Responsibilities:

Role involves leveraging solid business analysis and project management skills to lead a Day One Profit and Loss Implementation project.

• This individual will work closely with the Product Control (PC) clients to understand requirements and interface with multiple development teams to satisfy business requests and assist with defining solutions for firm compliance.

• This role will entail liaising with business units and IT groups to gather, document, analyze and communicate the needs and requirements of the business users.

  • Project management responsibilities are also entailed in the position to participate in project planning sessions and to manage SDLC+ deliverables across various groups within a specific time frame.

  • Document assumptions and manage expectations if they are invalidated

  • Develop and manage project schedule; Status tracking and reporting

  • Creating and using protocols and templates for project planning/tracking, status   issues/risks/actions reporting

  • Preparation and distribution of Weekly/Monthly Reporting

  • Business Analysis

  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to gather, document, analyze and communicate requirements

  • Leverage business knowledge to construct functional specifications and work with Development teams on SDLC+ activities

Job Requirements

• This role requires an experienced Project Lead/Project Manager/Business Analyst who will be able to manage multiple tasks, team members and key stakeholders. The key challenge will be to ensure that the specific requirements of stakeholders and the strategic objective of the project are met.

• The candidate must possess Product Control business knowledge and prior experience managing similar projects relating to PL, Price Testing, Fair Value Measurement, Disclosures, etc. Experience with the implementation of projects across a large and diverse stakeholder base located in multiple geographies. Candidate must possess subject matter expertise.

• Strong understanding of PC processes and systems

• Strong knowledge of financial products

• Solid business analysis experience

• Solid project management experience

• Proven track record working within an Investment Banking Financial data related environment

• Experienced in use of Excel, Access and /or other data aggregation / manipulation tools

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment under tight timelines

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to identify issues, recognize root causes and take appropriate action or recommend possible scenarios to solve problems

• A self starter, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of working both independently and within a team, using one's own initiative to provide robust and timely solutions

• Ability to manage own work plan and schedule to successfully meet goals with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
