QA/QC Manager
Position responsible for the execution and management of project QA/QC activities from a PMC perspective to ensure quality programs and the Quality Management System are implemented. Responsible for representing the client's best interests in ensuring the quality of all project activities conducted by Company personnel and EPC contractors meet Company and ISO 9001 standards.
Job Functions:
- Implements the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives as required by the Quality Management System.
- Interfaces with senior client management to ensure alignment and understanding of their requirements to enable effective oversight of contractors and suppliers.
- Reviews, validates & manages Project Quality Programs and plans for the client, EPC contractors and Suppliers.
- Develops and conducts as needed Quality audits and surveillance of contractors, suppliers and Company personnel involved in the project.
- Monitors & evaluates supplier inspection activities to ensure inspection effectiveness in determining product compliance to the client's requirements.
- Reviews prepared quality specifications for inclusion into various documents.
Job Functions Under Certain Circumstances:
- Participates in project management meetings, for coordination and implementation of quality activities during project cycle.
- Assists in the review of expense reports and labor charges of assigned personnel.
Job Requirements
Skills Requirements:
- Aware of Quality Management System requirements, including Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Working knowledge of the application of Quality standards and programs from FEED through the EPCm and PMC phases of a project
- Experience in performing Quality Surveillance and Audit activities.
- Polished, mature presentation, mediation, negotiation and team building skills
- Looks for ways to improve and promote quality.
- Follows through on commitments; accepts responsibility for own actions.
- Upholds organizational values; works with integrity and ethically.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Office programs.
- Continually works to improve leadership skills
Qualifications:
- College BS degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Minimum 10 years experience related to the Oil and Gas industry in a PMC management role.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, API, TEMA, ANSI, ASTM, NACE and other relevant industry codes and standards.
- Spanish Speaking a plus.
- This position is for a project in Colombia. All candidates must be able to travel to Colombia.
