Job Description
Position Summary Maintains food quality and safety by monitoring the food and supply chain with suppliers, distribution centers, and restaurants. Responsible for maintaining quality assurance databases and assisting with development of vendor performance and quality tracking systems. Main Accountabilities In addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to: Resolving day-to-day food quality issues and helping prevent reoccurrences Serving as primary contact to Operations for food quality concerns Managing QA databases that track food specifications, QA documents, food quality reports, and food evaluations Assessing, tracking and reporting vendor performance Conducting monthly in-house food evaluations for all prepared foods Coordinating quarterly calibrations meetings with key suppliers Supporting Food With Integrity objectives and projects Helping to evaluate potential new suppliers Assisting customer service with customer inquires Qualifications Education/Training
B.A./B.S. in related field or an equivalent in education and experience Food Science/Food Safety/QA coursework preferredKnowledge/Skills
Knowledge of the food industry Knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite Communication skills Testing and evaluation skills Data collection and interpretation skills Ability to work as part of a team Ability to multi-task Ability to be self-motivatedWork Experience
Two (2) years restaurant or food industry experience QA/Food Safety experience preferred Requirements Travel
Occasional, with the possibility of some periods of frequent travel
