Job Description
Position Summary:
Coordinates assigned activities associated with the development, application and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) for the company.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Performs analysis of quality documentation and processes. Prepares responsive quality plans accordingly.

Conducts or assists in evaluating quality problems and monitoring the corrective actions recommended to resolve the issues.

Serves as the liaison between the company and the suppliers on quality issues. Uses a systematic process to investigate the supplier quality issues and then reports the findings.

Conducts or assists with audits to determine acceptability of both internal and external quality controls. May assist third party auditors as required.

May assist in the development of new or revised procedural controls.

Participates in reviewing quality trends based on quality data and interaction with manufacturing personnel. Participates in generating and implementing defect-reduction programs.

Coordinates product sampling procedures.

Handles Return Material Authorizations (RMAs), supplier logs and coordination and follow up. Reports summaries at the Quality Meeting.

Serves as a quality assurance resource for quality problems, interpretation, identification, resolution and continuous improvement.

Explains, promotes and executes quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; two to three years quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Diverse knowledge of inspection, auditing and control methods, techniques and documentation as it relates to industry standards and/or ISO9001 quality systems.
- Strong computer skills including quality assurance applications, word processing, spreadsheets and data bases.
