QUALITY MANAGER - Aerospace -NADCAP
Description
This position encompasses the responsibility for administration, maintenance, and support for all Quality activities on a day-to-day basis where compliance with Prime customer and recognized accreditation standards is critical.
Administers, manages, and implements the quality program, which includes all customer specifications and requirements.
Develops, implements and maintains internal supportive procedures for both the quality and technical departments, as well as ensuring the required training and qualification of all technical personnel is completed and documented.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The responsibilities for this position include:
· Procedure Writing
· Internal and External Auditing
· Control of Corrected Certification Issuance
· Interface With Customer Service
· Material Specification and Published Test Methods (e.g. ASTM, EN, ISO, etc.) Review and Acceptance
· Administering and overseeing resolution of Customer Complaints
· Maintain all aspects of the Calibration System
· Vendor Assessment
· Regularly Scheduled meetings with Corporate Director of Quality and the Location Manager to discuss quality-related matters
· Assist Technical Managers in achieving departmental quality requirements and objectives for their areas
· Resolving technical issues related to quality
· Sustain an effective Nadcap, ISO 17025, and nuclear requirements quality program, and perform compliance audits to ensure all requirements are addressed and in place
· Act as the exclusive interface for all customer audits and accrediting body approvals
· Revise and maintain compliance procedures in coordination with company requirements
· Maintain copies of records and provide oversight for recordkeeping
· Track and report metrics that demonstrate effectiveness of the Quality Management Program
· Define and develop Quality KpI’s
· Work with programmers to establish simple and effective measures for recording and analyzing Quality measures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications for the position:
· US Citizen or Registered Green Card Holder Required
· Proficiency, experience, and working knowledge of Nadcap, ISO 17025, and nuclear compliance requirements
· Technical Expertise commensurate with the laboratory’s capabilities
· Capable of determining the validity of test
· Direct involvement with Quality Audits performed by outside concerns, including customer audits and accrediting bodies
· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
· High levels of discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
· Minimum 8 years hands-on testing experience in mechanical testing or chemical analysis of metals.
EXPERIENCE: Experience in the following areas is required:
· Minimum of eight years of responsible experience specializing in Nadcap Materials Testing accreditation program requirements, ISO 17025 accreditation program requirements, and nuclear program requirements.
· Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to complex quality issues that require working at all levels of the company and with customers.
