Position Responsibilities: This position is responsible for performing all aspects of solid and /or liquid dosage form pre-formulation and formulation. The individual will develop a product in a timely manner in order to successfully launch new technologies consistent with business development interests.

Job Requirements

Education:

Bachelor`s degree in a chemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering or related field.

Experience:

2 plus years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Familiar with drug development process, experience with FDA, USP, and ICH guidelines. Must be familiar with cGMP regulation.

* Ability to perform dissolution and develop HPLC methods to evaluate formulas.
* Ingredient selection
* Physiochemical characterization of pharmaceutical ingredients
* Lab scale formulation design
* Determination of product specifications based upon scientific evidence
* Perform proof of concept studies
* Scale up studies
* Pilot scale manufacturing
* Prepare technical documentation for all job functions
* Perform literature search for supporting documentation
* Update project manager with project status and be able to report on related issues

 

Language:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries. Ability to compose effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

Mathematical:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with non-verbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.). Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Operations:

Proficient

Leadership:

Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks. This position demonstrates leadership ability by acting as an important part of the Neos Therapeutics team.

Supervision: 

Receive very general guidance with respect to overall objectives. Some functions will be independently completed; Ability to use independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
