Job Description
The Regional Director is responsible for overseeing his or her own business concentrating on sales growth and profitability, customer satisfaction, recruitment, and training and development of staff and operations. The Regional Director requires strong delegation, leadership, and operational skills to effectively manage high volume performance. Other duties will include:
- Execute strategies and action plans for individual stores and districts to achieve sales goals, payroll budget, inventory budget and P&L.
- Proactively recruit quality District candidates and oversee all direct report recruitment efforts ensuring quality of hire and adequate store coverage.
- Identify, develop, train and enforce process flows, procedures, systems and tools that facilitate work efficiencies.
- Be a leader who demonstrates strong implementation skills; is results oriented, and successful in motivating staff member performance.
- Set annual goals, administer performance reviews and develop all direct reports.
- Have the ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and hold team accountable and follow-up on all activities within the region.
- Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills to Home Office and direct reports; ability to express and logically articulate point of view while reinforcing company initiatives.
- Forecast and analyze business trends and function within payroll, shortage and controllable expenses in order to maximize profit.
- Evaluate, develop and promote performance of district staff against company standards and goal. This includes working within corporate guidelines regarding performance management.
Job Requirements
- Five plus years of progressive management experience in a retail setting.
- Have, in professional career, managed over 6 direct reports and 100+ retail locations.
- A four-year degree in a related field is preferred.
- Possess a high level of retail financial acumen.
- Must use own judgment to make decisions regarding staffing, reviews, and enforcement of established regulations and policies.
- Effective oral and written communication skills are a must
