Job Description

• Provides direct patient care in the ER setting. 
• Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. 
• Communicates with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition including:  fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. 
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. 
• Performs general nursing duties in all ER areas with adequate supervision. 
• Participates in performance improvement activities. 
• Provides service to age range from neonate to Adult.

Job Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Experience of 1-2 years Medical/Surgical/ICU/E.D./OR/PACU/OPS/NICU preferred.
2. Current RN licensure in the state of Texas
3. Current Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification or training for Geropsych, ER
4. Current ACLS required for ICU, ER, OR, PACU, OPS
5. Current PALS required for ER and Pedi.  NRP required for NICU, L&D, Nursery & Post Partum
6. Current BLS certification in all areas
7. Other experience/technical skills as assigned.
