Full Time RN Site Manager
Rock County Jail
40 hours per week
Day Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm
Some weekends included

Job Requirements
Registered Nurse Manager for Correctional Environment
The Site Nurse Manager must work with patients, medical and nursing staff, security staff at all levels, administrative and support staff, and all health service providers.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE but are NOT LIMITED TO:
• Select and assigns staff, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion.
• Hiring responsibilities include: reviewing resumes’, verifying references, and interviewing candidates. After selection and offer of employment is accepted, the Site Nurse Manager is responsible for new employee completing all necessary paperwork and forwarding to Human Resources at the Corporate Office.
• Is responsible for covering any contract nursing hours unfilled by site nursing staff.
• Assesses, plans, and delivers nursing care to detained and committed.
• Supervises other nursing and nursing paraprofessional personnel in patient care.
• Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
• Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
• Identifies staff development and training needs and ensure that training is obtained.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.
• Supervises and participates in the provision of general nursing care services.
• Serves as liaison between staff, corporate office and other areas within the facility.
Valid Wisconsin Registered Nursing License & CPR certification
Correctional Experience a plus but not requried
Prefer TB Certification
Prior supervisory experience a must
Must be able to pass a stringent background check
Reliable Transportation
Ability to work in secure environment
