Job Description
REGISTERED NURSE Palliative Health Care The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of skilled professional patient care and supportive services to the patient/family unit based on recognized standards of practice. The registered nurse is able to demonstrate knowledge and skill in the area of palliative care/palliative symptom management. The registered nurse coordinates the delivery of palliative care services by the team assuring the physical, emotional, spiritual, and financial needs of the patient/family unit are identified and addressed. In addition the registered nurse assures coordination of care with the patient?s primary care team and when appropriate assists in facilitating transfer or discharge planning to assure continuity of the palliative plan of care. Qualifications include: Two years actual nursing experience, (psychiatric nursing & medical/surgical hospital experience preferred.) Current unconditional State of Florida Registered Nurse license, Current AHA Basic Life Support Certification, Current Florida driver?s license, & a Hospice and Palliative Care Certification is preferred.
