Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager (3) for Ithaca College in Central New York State. Position is responsible for a large resident dining hall operation serving approximately 4,000 meals a day during the academic year and provides service during the summer conference season. Position also oversees the culinary production for resident dining and high volume catering on campus, about 3,000 events a year. Ideal candidate has: a strong culinary and service management background, business communication skills, organizational skills and account and program development experience. Best qualified candidate has experience managing other managers and supervisors. Position will oversee 2 managers, 3 supervisors & 35 employees along with 2.7 Million in financial volume. This is a year round position.
Position Summary:
Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single account/unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required:
1 years of lead/supervisory/management experience
Basic Functional Experience Required:
2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc. You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.Position Posting Title: Manager 3, Food Service
