Job Description
MetLife Bank, a subsidiary of MetLife Inc is seeking to hire an Area Manager to market reverse mortgages to the senior community within a defined territory. This dynamic industry has been growing at a rate of more than 40% per year.
As an Area Manager I, you will be responsible for new business development and loan production within an exclusive marketing territory to sell and market reverse mortgage products. In addition to Reverse Mortgage closings, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching team members within an exclusive marketing territory.
Job Requirements
Principal Responsibilities:
• Management of approx. 20 Reverse Mortgage Consultants in a defined territory
• Management to a monthly sales production goal defined by management
• Strict adherence to the sales processes and policies and procedures defined by management, legal and compliance
• Oversight of individual pipeline management to ensure maximum sales potential
• Recruitment of qualified Reverse Mortgage Sales Consultants in your area with accordance to the sales plan
• Ongoing training of individuals on product, process and hands on sales practices
• Problem resolution as it relates to the closing and funding of loans
• Market planning and tactical execution of grass roots marketing efforts
• Weekly and monthly sales reporting as defined by management
We seek a motivated, success-oriented, patient, ethical, self starter who wants to maximize their career potential.
• Three to 5 years proven sales management experience. Experience managing over 15 Mortgage Sales Consultants.
• Experience managing a virtual team, highly desirable.
• Minimum 2 -3 years experience of personal production in the reverse mortgage industry
• Excellent knowledge of the reverse mortgage industry including product, process and regulatory issues.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• This is a virtual office position. The successful candidate must be willing to work outside of their home traveling to work one on one with Reverse Mortgage Consultant and clients in their area
• Strong leadership ability
• Must have excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, computer proficiency and experience with contact management software.
