Job Description

We are currently seeking a PER Diem RN with Pediatric Emergency Room and/or PICU experience.   This position is responsible for providing quality pediatric patient care on shift.

Essential functions of the Registered Nurse  /  Pediatric RN Shift Supervisor include: 

• Observes, assesses, triages, and takes action on all patients according to protocol.
• Provides quality patient care:
• Obtains vital signs and lab specimens;
• Administers medications and care;
• Assists in procedures;
• Gives aftercare instructions; and
• Discharges/transfers patients.
• Documents all assessments, actions, care and treatment responses, and communications in patient record, logs, and requisitions.
• Executes physician orders and care plans.
• Involves patient’s family in care plan.
• Supervises and makes follow-up calls from the previous day(s).
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

1) At least (3) Three years of pediatric emergency room/ PICU experience
2) Current State of Florida RN licensure
3) Current PALS or APLS certification
4) Excellent IV skills
5) Ability to perform multiple tasks
6) Ability to handle high volume and high acuity
7) Excellent communication skills

Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday: 5:00 pm- 11:00 pm
                                    Weekends and Holidays: 1:00pm- 11:00pm
