Tug Hill is currently looking for a Safety Manager in Civil Construction in the El Paso, TX area. The Safety Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Safety Program, including the development of site safety policies and procedures.

Description:

  • Administer and maintain all regulatory and Company Safety and Health programs for this location.
  • Plans and implements programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, fire prevention, and correct handling techniques for chemicals toxins, equipment, and other materials
  • Provides information, signs, posters, barriers, and other materials to warn of potential and actual safety hazards and to prevent access to hazardous conditions.
  • Leads the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits and insurance investigations.
  • Complies and submits accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
  • Conducts Safety Inspections.
  • Communicates with Project Management regarding compliance and safety.
  • Hands on position, most of the time will be out in the field.


Job Requirements

  • Must have 7 plus years of experience in construction safety on Heavy Highway, Airfield Construction worksite.
  • Experience with USACE projects a plus!
  • Knowledge of Construction Safety and current Federal and OSHA requirements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
