Job Description
Position will generate own sales as directed as well as have oversight responsibilities for BDDs as assigned Develop new business channels for flat pricing models Develop high level strategies and solutions for contract business Attend required industry functions Meet with News/ RSDs in designated territories to further develop process of turning News accounts into Ad Services accounts Meet with AS/ SVP and marketing team as needed to develop relevant marketing tools and campaigns Coach and mentor BDD staff with qualifying prospect lists by vertical industry, prospecting, follow ups, sales metrics, proposals Supervise BDDs as required with negotiating contract pricing Routinely track BDD performance and data in Salesforce for: Monthly meeting and revenue metrics Current client status Agency trees Timely results entered and maintained Review contract closing cycles, maintain monthly reports on wins, losses, CT accounts and renewals Enforce & approve company policies as it relates to office hours, travel & entertainment, etc. Routinely meet with SVP as required Work closely with NSD, ASD to nurture staff and new business Engage ASM and ASRs for assistance where required Travel as required
Job Requirements
Education/Experience: Four-year college degree preferred.Five to ten years general management experience. Two years management experience at VMS desirable.Skill/Knowledge:Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to interact effectively with others—clients, subordinates, superiors, and other employees.Skill in marketing and customer service.Ability to manage and supervise employees.General knowledge of TV news broadcasts and commercial advertising.Computer literacy, including experience with word processing and spreadsheets, e.g., Lotus or Excel. Ability to type. Working knowledge of computer hardware systems.Ability to analyze problems, and to develop and implement plans to resolve problems.Ability to plan, organize, and manage various tasks while simultaneously directing others.
