Job Description

Summary of Position:


Responsibility for direct sales and business development of Packaging adhesives in the given territory.


 



Travel Requirements:



Geographic sales territory to include portions of the states of TX and LA.   A minimum of 25-50% overnight travel would be required. 


 


Job Responsibilities


  • Implement territory management and growth plans that are commensurate with the overall strategic directives of the business. Develop strategies to support the profitable growth of Henkel's product lines in the territory.  Identify, quantify and justify value to our customers through a solution value proposition utilizing Henkel resources and products.  

  • Have/Develop knowledge of the market and on the major applications & technologies that are typically found in the assigned market areas. Work to establish a complete target list, documenting growth potential by application and location. Prioritize, direct & execute sales programs for the assigned market areas. Effectively communicate progress and needs to the management team. Become competent with and utilize Henkel's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage the sales and customer management processes.

  • Recognize competitive forces and prepare sales strategies to offset them.


Minimum Requirements


  • BA/BS Degree or similar discipline required.

  • 5+ years experience in industrial/technical sales.

  • Industrial adhesive experience a plus.

  • Ability to set and meet specific and measurable goals and objectives.

  • Exhibited knowledge of applicable products and applications including product chemistries, application, manufacturing, and equipment a plus. Knowledge of automated control equipment helpful.

  • Proven Experience creating and maintaining key accounts based on excellent customer relationships.

  • Excellent planning, organization, customer focus, results, and relationship building skills.

  • Ability to work well in team environment and to facilitate meetings consisting of key customers.

  • Excellent communication skills and PC proficiency.

  • Time and territory management skills working from home.

  • Must be willing to travel approximately 40-60%.

  • Computer literacy.
