Classification: Full Time

Compensation: $75000 to $85000 per year

One of our clients, a top employer in San Antonio, seeks a SCADA Analyst to develop, design, implement and maintain pipeline SCADA and associated systems including related interfaces, communications, batch tracking and leak detection systems. Maintain SCADA system hardware and software. Develop and implement SCADA changes and enhancements. Provide support of critical SCADA production systems, 7 days-a-week, 24 hours a day, to ensure continuous production system availability. Consult with management and users to define system specifications to achieve economical and practical solutions. Perform complex research and maintenance activity, including vendor coordination to ensure that all published departmental service levels and objectives are met. Analyze, define, and implement moderately complex projects in terms of business objectives within time and cost estimates, with a minimal amount of supervision.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field highly preferred. Minimum three years of related I/S, SCADA or control systems experience required. Ideal experience consists of SCADA systems development and support. Experience working with the Telvent OASYS and LMS products is strongly preferred. Requires thorough understanding of pipeline operations and associated pipeline control functions, which include distributed control concepts, VSAT communications, telemetry related communications protocols and SCADA applications. Requires effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Requires strong technical and functional skills, and the ability to organize and track multiple simultaneous tasks. Excellent communication skills are required. Requires strong interpersonal skills for communication with a diversified user community and outside vendors. Candidate should also have a good working knowledge of networks, Windows operating systems, relational databases, programming techniques, PLCs or DCSs, MS SQL, IIS and MS Office suite.
