Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for compiling and analyzing revenue information for the organization. Reviews organizational billing practices to ensure invoice accuracy and proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP. Reviews client contracts to insure optimal revenue. Reviews A/R ledgers for outstanding accounts and contacts clients to initiate collections. Prepares balance sheet reconciliation and margin trend analysis. Assesses internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews risk areas across the accounting function. Develops and monitors accounting processes and procedures to improve internal controls. Assists with audits by providing supporting records and documentation. Works under general supervision.
Job Requirements

Bachelors of Science (or BBA) in Accounting required. MACC is a plus.

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

3+ years of Public Accounting (Audit) experience with either a large local or national firm

Sarbanes-Oxley and/or SEC Reporting experience a plus

Strong proficiency with Excel and working with large data sets

Excellent written and oral communication skills
